How long does the pig take to cook?
8 to 12 hours depending on the size of the pig
Where is the pig cooked?
The pig is cooked at the farm and then transported to the venue once cooked.
The pig is reheated at the venue on arrival.
How many will it cater for?
100 people are included in the Hog roast package price although you can add extra guests (for an additional cost). If you have fewer than 100 guests why not check out our other catering packages?
Access at the venue?
Our machines can fit through a standard size door and we are able to transport the machine upstairs as well.
What payment options are available?
To pay your deposit and/or final balance payment is acceptable via: BACS or a Cheque made payable to “Nantwich Hog Roasts”
Can we have the hog roast indoors?
Yes you are able to have a hog roast indoors or outdoors. If outdoors we have our own gazebo which we are able to bring along with us.
What happens if there are any left overs?
Any left overs from the pig/salads or desserts will be left behind on platters for you to enjoy later.
Can I have a hog roast at lunchtime?
Yes – we will cook the pig through the night so it will be ready for your lunchtime event.
Can you cater for more than 150 people
If your event is for more than 150 people please get in touch so we can talk you through the options.
Can I pick the Ruby package and add salads or desserts?
Yes – you can select as many as you like.
How far do you travel?
50 mile radius anything after 50 miles will be charged on a per mile basis.
What about food standards and hygiene?
We have our own portable teal hand washing facility. All staff are trained in food hygiene. We are inspected by Cheshire East Council.
What do I need to provide?
Generally very little is needed, we require about 3 to 6sqm of space to set up and ideally access to a 13amp power supply.
What if I want an alternative to pork or have a small amount of people?
Why not try one of our other packages from the catering packages drop down menu at the top of this page.
What About Vegetarians/People with Allergies?
We can cook veggie burgers with sauces at an extra cost of £3.50 per head, this is not included in the price of the Hog Roast. We also offer alternatives for guests who are gluten free (please enquire when booking).
Where does your meat come from?
All meat is produced on farm or from a local supplier.
What are your machines powered by?
Our hog roast machine uses propane gas.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We have full public liability insurance for £5,000,000.
How do I make a booking/change my booking?
Use the contact us form to get in touch and check availability. Once we receive your deposit we will reserve your date. You can change your mind about the package and swithc to an alternative one any time up until two weeks before the event. If you need to change the date, we will do our best to accommodate your needs but it will depend on availability.
